Nearly there.

If it wasn't for the lights, we'd have arrived bang on 1pm!

Harthill

That's us just passing Harthill (and it's not raining, Miss Craig).
See you all soon, about 1pm.

Sleepy heads

That's us at Glasgow.
Some sleepy little heads.

Ferry time.

A much smoother crossing on the way home! I think the kids are a bit disappointed with the lack of splashing!

All our bags are packed...

We're ready to go!

Last gathering in the common room.

Breakkie!

Our last meal here altogether.
My table and I were completing the following,
Tomorrow morning I...
- won't be having breakfast with children!
- won't be getting muddy
- will be sleeping
- will be wishing I was here!
Awwwwwww :)

Early start!

An earlier start today, most kids were awake before I got to them! Although, it's an amazing thing to be met by Hassan in the corridor, and be told about his sighting of a deer from his bedroom window! It's still 15 mins til breakfast so there's a bit if packing (type stuff) going on! I'll update you on times over the course of the morning.

Thursday photos.

Group 1 - ropes and forest
Group 2 - conservation and ropes
Group 3 - gorge and conservation

D.I.S.C.O!

Disco time so your kiddies have little interest in comments for the blog!
It was all I could do to get some of them off the dance floor for a photo!

Redwood

A new gorge

We couldn't visit our normal gorge as it was being used to film "a place in the country". Instead we went to another river normally only for older groups. It was really challenging but everyone helped and we had a brilliant time in stunning surroundings.

Thursday afternoon

What a fantastic morning.
I've just had lunch with Kenzae who, along with Euan, took a very chilly jump into the gorge!! The rest of Group 3 also coped wonderfully with the challenges of extremely slippy rocks and a fast flowing river!
I was with Group 1 at the high ropes and was blown away with the way they pushed their own limits and supported one another. Special mention for Faizah who climbed up the trapeze with me and helped out when I was totally terrified!!
Group 2 have been out exploring the gardens and completed some fantastic conservation work. (Although I've not seen many of them to get the stories yet!)
This afternoon...
Group 1 - forest bashing, cosy snacks and shelter building
Group 2 - ropes course
Group 3 - conservation

:)

Thursday morning

I'm currently with Group 1, we're loaded up with safety harnesses and headed to the ropes course.
Group 2 are headed off to do some conservation.
Group 3 are off to the gorge.
Photos to follow.
The sun is shining and although tired, everyone is very settled into their little Benmore routines.

Wednesday, 13 May 2015

Begin again!

And we're off! Kiddies have been woken (most are now awake!) and some are choosing to shower (although that may be a step to far for some who are just trying to get dressed!). I can actually hear whistling so there are certainly a few feeling more awake than others.
Breakfast at 8:30 :)

Wednesday photos.

I'm getting a bit confused with photos and who did what, here are a selection from today to share with you.
Group 1 kayaking and conservation
Group 2 gorge and shore scramble
Group 3 in the canoes.
